Choosing Bathroom Light Fixtures for Various Bathroom Sections

Choosing the right bathroom light fixtures for every section of the bathroom can add value and safety to the space. Primarily, the bathroom can feature a shower, a tub, a toilet, a vanity and a storage zone. Each of these areas plays a key role in keeping our hygiene at its optimum best and seeing to it that our body meets not only its physiological but aesthetic needs as well.

The shower and toilet sections are high functional areas. These are the ultimate zones where most of the activity is done. Getting thoroughly cleansed and ridding the body of its wastes is essential activities that need to be performed every single day and done not only once but many times as well. To get these areas properly-illuminated, you have to choose bright and direct lights. Recessed lights that are marked for moisture-filled zones should be used on these spaces. These choices give enough brightness to allow you to do your tasks with ease and see your entire body so you can scrub and soap it clean in the shower and accomplish some reading and browsing while you are using the toilet bowl.

The bathtub is a special section in the bathroom area. While not most may have these features, others can have surprisingly grander choices with Jacuzzis in place. Whenever these fixtures are present, it is always nice to have something beautiful to look up to the ceiling and the wall. Thus, decorative bathroom light fixtures should be employed. You can introduce elegance and a touch of flair with choices like small chandeliers, pendant lights and wall sconces. Using these lights adds texture that is worth seeing when you are lying down and looking up from your bathtub spot. It is also important that dimmer switches are incorporated so you can adjust the brightness from them to a softer glow that is soothing to the eyes.

Vanity areas are often given poor and inadequate lighting by many homeowners. To have full and even illumination to the face, wall sconces or vanity lights should be installed. They should be affixed on the side of the mirrors close to the level of the face so that they don’t throw in unnecessary shadows.

Whenever there are cabinets, multiple shelves or storage in place, under-cabinet lights should be attached. These give you easy access to the bathroom supplies you need which you can clearly see and grab when they are brightly-illuminated. Aside from these, they give you opportunity to highlight your displays with added style.
